Pre-Man Utd Press Conference

  Marco Silva wants Fulham to give the kind of performance we've come to anticipate from their matches with Manchester United during his tenure.

  Friday's opponents have won three of the four league encounters since Silva arrived in SW6, albeit all by one goal, two of which came in stoppage time at Craven Cottage.

  However, it was our turn to shatter home hearts in the most recent game, and Silva will be pleased if his squad can repeat that performance. "The reality is that the last two seasons, every time we played against Manchester United, the games have always been decided by fine margins," he stated in his pre-match press conference.

 "They sometimes score last-minute goals, and I believe they did so twice against us, allowing them to win the game.

 "Okay, we all know the story about the FA Cup Quarter-Finals. We had to make a decision in the final minute of the game.

  The truth is that we've always given them a match. This is how we play and prepare ourselves. 

 "We're pleased to be at Old Trafford; it's usually a fantastic place to start, and the atmosphere will undoubtedly be positive.

 "Let's hope we can maintain the level of performance we've shown with them over the last two seasons. As a manager, I'll be ecstatic if I saw my squad perform like that.And, of course, as I previously stated, the margins can determine the outcome."

 Alex Iwobi's winner in the seventh minute of stoppage time in this game last season was one of our most memorable moments of 2023/24, but Silva would rather look ahead than remember the past. "What's happened has already passed,"

 "Of course, we were satisfied with how we played because we got three points, which I believe we deserved in that game. But it has already passed. "The same teams will be on the pitch, in the same stadium, but the story will be different. Let's hoping we can do something comparable, but the story of the game will be very different."
